Gingerbread family

We're not planning to do a lot of Christmas decorating here.

Firstly, I don't want to have to buy, and then ship home, a ton of unnecessary stuff. And secondly, we'll be with friends on the East Coast for Christmas anyway!

But occasionally I feel like I'm depriving R of something, so, courtesy of Trader Joe's we now have the sum total of a 12" Christmas Tree-shaped rosemary bush and a gingerbread house.

R and B made the house from a kit - there's even a cat in the Gingerbread Family. Of course, by the time B left to go home, I did a double take, wondering where the chocolate marshmallows they'd added to the top had gone already.

Not sure that cat is going to last long enough to have his full quota of nine lives.
