Had wrangling with car and health insurance today. They put the premiums up on car insurance and unlike in the UK it isn't straight forward finding a better quote (no compare the market or similar - a market niche if someone wants to set one up) and therefore we are left bartering with the same company.

In addition it turns out that my dental insurance refuse to cover my deep cleaning and periodontal scaling that I had a few months back. I refused the treatment on at least 3 occasions due to cost and only when they (the dentist) agreed to reduce my out of pocket expense did I go for it. My insurance was meant to cover 3/4 of cost but now the insurance company say the treatment was unnecessary and I'm left with facing a $500 for something I didn't really want. I just don't see the point of health insurance as both times I've attempted to use it they refuse to pay.

In other news I got the sales associate position. They are just finalizing the paperwork. However I am now a little concerned about what salary they will pay me. If it's not a decrease then pretty certain I'll take it.
