Red Flowers
Today was a lovely relaxed Sunday, just as they should be!
I'm going to admit straight off that I stayed in my pyjamas pretty much all day today. I didn't get a lot done, but Dad decided to empty a box of stuff from my grandpa's desk and I ended up helping out with that. We discovered some awesome things, like my grandpa's wallet and drivers license, old invitations and birth announcements, a great photo of my grandparents in New Zealand in the 1990s and literally hundreds of maps and brochures of various parts of Australia and New Zealand from their travels. They never went overseas (apart from NZ which barely counts) but they saw a lot more of this country than I thought they had!
Dad and I went for a long walk before dinner which was probably a good idea because it got me out of my PJs and out of the house. We went almost as far as Dight's Falls because I wanted to check out potential spots for a photo shoot Julia and I are doing tomorrow. I took my OM-2 to get some practice in using it and used the macro lens for the first time. So exciting!
So this is a photo from my first roll of film (which overall is pretty good! Only a couple of terribly exposed photos, yay) and while it's not as clear as I'd hoped it would be, I still really like it. I did find it a bit difficult to focus on things when I was taking photos because it was windy and I'm not used to a macro conversion on a 50mm. Nonetheless I'm pleased with the photos I got today, all of them are well exposed and pretty much in focus. Woo film!
