Rain rain go away...

After a cloudy morning spent strolling round Valencia, we hoped on yet another not so speedy high speed train back to Alicante.

Checked into our hotel and the heavens opened and a torrential downpour of rain ensued.

So there wasn't much to do but eat amazing gelato... And then we...

....managed to go to the Contemporary Art Museum (MACA) and the Museum of Fine Arts (MUBAG), both of which were great except for the fact that we couldn't take photos. Discovered a new artist we liked... Palozuelo... Amazing stuff.

Finished the day with a local specialty Arroz de Costra which is sort of like a paella with a layer of egg on top.
Tasty but filling stuff.

Hoping the weather perks up tomorrow, otherwise we'll be catching up on the holiday reading....
