Christmas Cookies

One tin for each grandson. We'll be spending the weekend together in Portland for an early Christmas celebration and what better excuse to bake their favorite cookies (as if I needed an excuse to bake cookies).

My daughter and I are leaving Saturday morning, hoping that everyone else in the Puget Sound region doesn't have the same plan. We're hearing rumors that it's supposed to snow tonight and tomorrow then warm up and melt by tomorrow night. That sounds unrealistically optimistic, but it's possible. Snow here usually doesn't stick around very long -- one more reason to love the Pacific Northwest. I lived in Montana for enough years to know what serious snow can do, so it's really easy to love this area, especially if you aren't partial to snow, and I'm not.
