" Those Were the Days My Friend........."

Today is my 200th blip and I felt quite nostalgic. Maybe it's all the pills I've been on to reduce the syptoms of the head cold or maybe the time of year. However, todays blip is a view of my sideboard in the dining room/craft room, where I create silk scarfs, work on the stained glass, paint, ceramics etc. The pink sideboard is over 7ft long and we tried to sell it once but no takers so I use it for storage etc.

The lamp I love, bought many years ago and just love the shape. Reminds me of when I was young and used to dance. The photos are one of Matthew when he was about three and one of my wedding day. The other one to the right was taken about 20 years ago. But I look back at that time and although it was stressful having the boys at home, I miss it. We were a family and now at Christmas there will be just Matthew here.
Unfortunately because of Adrian's complications, he will visit briefly on the Friday.

We will see David on Boxing Day and sadly Simon is still 'out of the family'. But they were happy days.

The weather, although quite pleasant this morning, how now returned to wet and very windy. Fortunately it was reasonably dry this morning, when I ventured out with Phoebe to our local shop and delivered a few Christmas cards to a few friends in the village.

This afternoon created 46 sausage rolls which are now sitting in the freezer. Bit of a tradition here, sherry and home made sausage rolls just before opening the prezzies a round the tree. Cant remember when it started but I know Matthew and Mr A will expect it. Have also agreed to take some with us on Boxing Day to David and Kezia.

After ironing 8 shirts and cooking the meal this evening, now suitably tired so an early blip.

Hope you all enjoy a special weekend. If you have to go out to shop may you be successful. Personally I've had enough and will avoid the crowds.
