A fun trip into Bradford
It was wet in Bradford when we came out of the IMAX cinema but thankfully not wild until we got safely home.
We went to see the Hobbit 2 - Desolation of Smaug.
Absolutely fantastic, especially as it was on the IMAX screen at the National Media Museum in the centre of Bradford in 3 D. Amazing though the giant spiders were a bit scary in Mirkwood!
(The IMAX in Bradford was the first to open in Europe never mind the UK and it is celebration 30 years this year.)
It was an adventure as we decided to go on the bus. Got there in plenty of time for a view of the City Park and a cuppa and mince pie before the showing at 4.00pm. Sadly the City Park was a bit grey and the city hall covered in scaffolding so not a great photo opportunity.
After the show we went for a meal and then back across City Park and Centenary
Square to the bus Interchange. At least the trees outside the City Hall were very pretty and the lights on the Alhambra theatre though it was closed (anything to do with the ceiling collapse at the Apollo Theatre last night in London?)
Now we are home it is really wet and wild. I hope all these Christmas trees survive.
This pictures was taken with my new phone so a bit of an experiment. Not keen on taking my camera to the cinema or theatre. I took some of the City Park but I decided I preferred this one of Chris at the village bus stop!
