Winter Gardens
Harrogate. Now a Weatherspoons, but lots of the old glory still there as you can see.
We went to Harrogate by train today expecting it to be really busy but it wasn't particularly to say it is the last Saturday before Christmas. It felt like a little adventure as we haven't used this line before.
The reason for our trip was to meet up,with dear friends Ron (sister in law) and Ian. As always a great catch up and despite, the biting wind we had a good wander around noodly parts of Harrogate that are unfamiliar to us.
They have been staying for two night Turkey, Tinsel and Dance break ( both being excellent dancers)
Chris wanted to visit the Winter Gardens which used to be part of the Spa as he was involved with work here when it was being converted into a pub. They have done an excellent job retaining the historic features and also did a very reasonable and good lunch!
Just having a sit down and a cuppa before heading out again for an at home with friends from church for drinks and nibbles.
Great day and as always lovely to see our friends from the north!
