Sometimes they DO fly!

Yesterday I got the bad news, the Mortgage company was going to need another check to close the new mortgage. Basically everything I had earned this week. I was more than a little bummed. I need this Mortgage and it IS worth the temporary pain as it cut the interest rate in half, the total interest paid by 2/3 at least. It decreases the monthly payment, too. But in the short term it was going to HURT. Enter my loan officer, Jen. I went to her this afternoon, before the closing, and asked her about some of the costs. Money that was going to be returned next week, on the 26th wasn't going to be happening either. It seems that after I had separated from my ex (now belated, and not by my hand) husband he had made some (more) questionable monetary decisions that now I was getting his name off the mortgage were just coming to light. yippie. So a couple of hours later, the Loan officer had found some wiggle room for me. Christmas was saved. I was never going to starve, I wasn't going to freeze to death on the street, I just wasn't going to be able to do much for the folks I love. You can never do all you want. You love them and want each one to have a perfect day and that isn't going to happen. But this year there will be an Orange in the toe of each stocking and a bit of something under the tree because over all it has been a very good year. And this little pig managed a flight around the tree.
