Through the rude wind's wild lament

...and the bitter weather.

I hunted and gathered in Bantry 21st century style. The checkout jungle was mad. A brief power outage sent the tills into nosedive and the credit card terminals resigned in sympathy until everything re-booted. The queues filled the aisles. Young volunteer packers slowed things down even more - they did their best but there's an art to packing bags - and they were too young to have learnt it.

This scene was calmer - but colder and wetter - but I think I prefer it! On my return, everyone was sitting lethargically around the table - it's the pre-Christmas slump!
