Like a bird of paradise

The weather today has been absolutely appalling, and there is worse to come! Most of the day it has been blowing a gale, and literally pouring with rain, everywhere is flooded, and I have stayed in all day finishing some crafty gifts I have been making.
In view of this, I hope you will forgive me for blipping another picture of my 'Queens tears' plant, this time the whole plant, showing off the beautiful pink bracts from which the stunning navy and blue flowers spill with relish!
I took this picture at midday and I still had to use an ISO of 800, which shows just how horrific the light was today. I love this plant though, and I have used the view out of my conservatory window with the soggy garden as a backdrop.
Lets hope the weather will calm down a bit tomorrow
