Car! Check!

Finally, today was the day!

We have been trying to find out how to buy a car since we got here. So now we have all our paper work through we could finally got over the first hurdle and went to a garage to see some cars.

The whole experience wasn't great and was rather lengthy. It took us about 16 hours to actually buy a car (we only went to one garage).

Brand new cars are cheaper here than they are back in the U.K but used cars are much more expensive! I mean a car with 100,000 plus mileage will still set you back $8k plus.

We settled on a pretty sweet mazda 3 with 67,000 on the clock and a 3 year warranty (managed to haggle down the list price by $1000 and insurance wasn't too bad either!)

It feels like a massive weight lifted off our shoulders as I drove our new car home.

Then it was off out for Tex-Mex to celebrate.
