Ramsay Gardens
This is a block of 16 private flats just beside the castle. They were developed in their current form from 1890 to 1893 by Patrick Geddes as part of an urban renewal project. Geddes referred to it as the "seven-towered castle I built for my beloved". The flats have sweeping views across the Forth to Fife. It has always struck me as a romantic setting although it cannot be the most desirable spot during the Tattoo in August! Sadly, this is a blip I took in early December but retook this morning. I uploaded the wrong one but don't yet know how to take a blip down but never mind, it's all in a day's learning. Maybe someone will tell me.
