Good ol' Gary

Final "full" day in the lab as I begin winding things down for the end on dec 31st. Really awkward around my boss at the moment. I'm still working the hardest out of the entire lab (most of who are on holiday) and he is seeing that. But he hasn't spoken to me since I quit despite seeing me on multiple occasions. Thinking about leaving a bottle of wine and thank you note just to keep things decent for the future.

Got my flights sorted and registered for sales
Conference mid jan. Leaving it so late I got left with the crappy seats on the plane and it's almost 5 hrs non-stop from SD to Orlando. Hotel looks nice but I have to share a room with a random person! Still will be good opportunity to network now that it's my job.

I had to fill in the registration forms for the conference and you had to give one interesting personal/professional fact on yourself. I went for competing the three peaks challenge in under 24 hours. Also they asked for your shirt and shoe size. What dress code you would like to wear for various events and what songs would you like played. All very different to scientific conferences I have been on!

Watched a boring chelski - gunners game. Highlight of the march was Gary lineker being the pundit on NBC sports. Times must be hard
