Clear out!

Much as I would love to live in an immaculate clutter-free showhouse type place, my hubbie and I are really bad at hoarding things. We've been saying for ages we must have a ruthless clearout but never seem to get around to it. However, hearing that my sister has told my mum she doesn't know how we're going to fit a baby and all the things which it will need, into our house, has given us a bit of a kick up the backside and yesterday we started the big clearout.

It's amazing what you can find in boxes under the stairs - 1988 "O" Grade exam papers, bags of scraps of material, old curtains, letters from friends long since forgotten, childhood sticker albums .... the list is endless! So many of these are now consigned to the bin and a bag has been started for the charity shop. There is a long way to go yet, but hey, at least we've got started!
