Although we have "official" Sky tv in 2 rooms, hubbie has recently been playing around with the cabling in our house to get it to link to 2 of the bedrooms upstairs too. He managed to get it working upstairs fine but one of the boxes downstairs then died on us. Despite trying 2 different remote controls, neither of which worked, the Sky helpline tried to tell us it was due to a faulty remote control and would cost us £20 to buy a new one. Hubbie didn't accept that both remotes could have gone faulty at the same time so told them he wanted to cancel the subscription in one of the rooms. Got passed through to cancellations who couldn't have been more helpful and arranged for an engineer to call out today. He arrived this morning, diagnosed a faulty box, replaced it with a much smarter one free of charge and also gave us another remote control free of charge too! Sorted!
