Chocks away!

These geese are probably hybrids as there were a few brent geese and pink-footed in this flock - these look a little like brent and have pink feet … go figure ;)

A bit of rain today - a bit of a shock after the lovely weather we have been having but nothing compared to the notrh and the UK - stay safe lovely people!

Just got back from the last minute stuff with honorable son N° 1 - the bird and vegetables etc. which we bought from the local shops in the nearest small town to us, which was absolutely empty - brilliant.

We are having Christmas at home - the first time for 21 years and will be foregoing the traditional French reveillon, where a big meal is eaten staring at around 10pm then straight to the presents.
This year we are mixing and matching - dinner at dinner time, we have foie gras and oysters as per, but the big meal, which is capon this year will be at lunchtime tomorrow.

As some of you may know, honorable son N°1 ail have a scooter this year and the secret has been safely guarded - I just need to slink out at around 2am to get it from a friend's garage and get it into the lounge with nobody hearing … a challenge, but I'm up for it.

Just finishing the last round of mince pies and sausage rolls and prepped the lobster cosset for dinner too - ahead of time, moi - yes, for a change and I think this calls for a cool Guinness, just in case …

Merry Christmas to you all and stay safe in the UK and Ireland!
