Christmas Eve Storm
What a difference a day makes.
Weather has been building all day.
Wind has been blowing very hard since mid-day
About 80mph
Pleasant pink to the sky at dawn.
But I was good and resisted the urge.
Final tidy of the house for guests arriving this evening.
Supermarket trolley dash for all the food we can't possibly eat.
Delivered the old clothes to the recycler,
to make way for the new ones!
Present buying down the shopping centre
and I still had time to drive round the headland
and along the beach before dark.
Didn't stop anywhere long, so just hand held.
I had to sit down to take some of them as the gusts were so strong.
Posted the one I liked but if you want to see the storm waves building click here. Somebody asked me the other day what the wall at the edge of the beach was for. Well if you look at the other photos you will see what the beach looked like at low tide. It will probably be coming over the sea wall by now!
Beach should be amazing by the morning,
it will be building up out in the North sea.
Makes you think about all the poor souls on all those boats I photograph .
Bad enough working Christmas but out there on a night like this
Take care, stay warm blippers.
