Wholesome Poulsom

Being good in readiness for Santa

So baby S is way too young at a mere 7 weeks to appreciate Christmas but we have got him a few pressies anyway to mark the occasion. The poor boy needs some treats anyway, he had his latest trip to the doctors to check on his progress, all going very well but it did involve him being weighed in the scud and he found this rather undignified and made his feelings known, loudly and for several minutes until pacified with a feed.

To celebrate his good progress myself and 77 went for lunch at the local wetherspoons and had a steak and a pint and apple crumble for £11 each. All good stuff, I am enjoying eating just about anything these days and using the excuse that its for the baby.

Very chilled evening, interspersed with 2 hours of inconsolable crying from the wee man, we are not sure if he has colic but after endless research on the internet, mostly involving the search terms 'why is my baby crying in the evening' and 'when will my baby stop crying in the evening' we think he might. It seems the crying will peak in the next couple of weeks and then he should be ok by 12 weeks. I don't want to wish time away but there are moments when this magical 12 weeks cant come soon enough....however we are very lucky to have him and he can always turn a stressful time around with a charming smile!
