Milking time

It was raining when we went to milk at 5am this morning, and it was raining when we went to get the cows in to milk at 6.30pm tonight. In between it was fine - rather warm in fact.

I took this photo while getting the cows out of their paddock tonight. They were heading to the cowshed for milking. The paddock they are walking past has turnips growing in it. The turnips are looking rather good at the moment - they have enjoyed the recent rain. It will be approximately another 3 or 4 weeks before they are ready to be eaten by the cows.
