'tis the season, etc.

Well, it wouldn't be Christmas without a picture of a bauble giving some interesting reflections and... oh yes, +1/3 doing his very best to appear in the photo...

+1/3 and I usually go and get the tree from just along the road and this year was no exception. My parents were always of the opinion that Christmas trees should go up close to Christmas and not come down until the 6th January and we do the same. The only downside to this is, given most people will have spotted their first domestic Christmas tree in November, by mid December you tend to be left with only the special trees.

Special, in this case, tends to mean e.g. extremely lopsided, a bit mangy looking, incredibly jaggy or if you're really lucky all of the above and more.

We got a fine specimen: tallish and not at all lopsided. However it is exceptionally jaggy. Oh well.
