Something New To Love

Part of my Christmas gift from Evan and Chelsea was a beautiful basket filled with the most thoughtful items for a cozy evening in. Amongst the goodies were two bottles of wine, a wedge of artisanal goat cheese, some delicious mustard, gourmet crackers, a very cozy, soft lap blanket, a box of French butter cookies, some delicious gourmet parmesan and rosemary popcorn, and a pair of bright pink fuzzy slippers!

The slippers are a family joke. When Evan was little, there were several years in a row where I received a pair from him! Yesterday, BB came across these newest ones, and instantly fell in love with them. He's been tenderly carrying them in his mouth, and snuggles with them at nap time. As they are a little on the small side for my feet, I decided the best thing to do (it is Christmas, after all!) would be to let him "adopt" them.
