Seagazer
Given the fact that we have been gripped in the jaws of a huge gale for 24 hours now, it might seem like the seaside was not the place to be at all today. I went in order to shoot some pics of waves crashing against the pier head. Got some too but I liked this one better. A brave soul standing on the beach and probably wondering just how much longer this is going to last.
The storms have been even more violent further South and West. A school lost its roof in Kerry and even up the East coast in Dublin, one of the railway stations has been closed to passengers all day due to debris falling from its roof and onto the platforms.
So far our gardens have survived well except for our Myrtle Tree which has been flattened and is now officially an ex Myrtle Tree. Pity really. It was about 4 metres high and we had raised it from a small sapling.
