Unexpectedly welcome

Today should have seen us celebrate Christmas with my Dad, Auntie and Uncle round at our's. Presents were by the tree and I was just about to finish laying the table when my Auntie called off as my Uncle wasn't well. As we had a mountain of food to dispose of and a beautifully laid table we gave the in laws a call and invited them round. A really lovely afternoon followed although it wasn't what was planned.
