Boxing Day monopoly madness
After a pretty exhausting Christmas, we all had a relatively early night, with only a few drinks had. We were able to get up early, have what ever was left over from the Christmas barby-q and nip up to the gym for an hour.
Later on we went to the cinema to see Anchorman 2. And you wouldn't believe it but there was no pick n' mix and no sweet popcorn. We were outraged!
I won't talk too much about the film but for me it was a 6 out of ten. Mainly because far to many of the gags felt like lazy reproductions of the first, but it was still better than your average comedy. My opinion may change on future viewings as it has done on many occasion.
When we returned we cracked out the San Antonio-opoly. This game has been known to strip even the tightest friends, family and religions to their very foundations. And we were no different!
There was huffs, puffs, name calling, swearing, arguments, time outs, false acquisitions, swearing, empty threats, meaningful threats and some internal tears.
Certain players had to retire to the refrigerator for a drink to calm down and the word is that they even assaulted themselves a few times. The game had to be postponed about 2am to be concluded in the morning, with only two payers still in the game.
What a night. This game should come with warning signs!
