Conor's Hospital Tour Continues

We travelled down to Yorkshire yesterday to stay with Grandma and Grandad. Conor had a bad night but seemed okay then slept for most of the journey. He was up again most of last night, and this morning sounded terribly wheezy. So we got an appointment at the local GP surgery. After the doctor assessed him she decided that she'd be happier if he was seen in hospital, so she referred us to Harrogate District Hospital. When we arrived we were shown into a private room and that's where we spent the afternoon, rather than visiting Charles and Kirsty as planned. He was diagnosed with bronchiolitis, which apparently peaks between 5-7 days. We think this is day 3, so we may not have seen the worst of it yet. The medical staff said that he was coping very well with it though and that's why they let us take him home. The asthma nurse showed us how to us his inhaler and spacer properly so we'll be using that and Calpol. We have open access to the ward for the next 24 hours in case we need to take him back, but hopefully it won't come to that. Maybe he just wanted to compare the facilities in Yorkshire to those in Glasgow. It's a memorable Christmas, that's for sure!
