A cold day in North Queensferry
There is a lovely little cafe in North Queensferry. We went for lunch on what was a pleasant but very cold day. While we had lunch rain arrived and the sky changed from winter blue to sullen grey. I wanted a blip and Janet was willing to wait. We wandered for a while. Seeing the old pier and the bridge brought back memories of crossing to Edinburgh from Fife by ferry before the bridge opened in 1964. It seemed a great adventure at the time but then so did visiting a city. It never seemed a possibility that I'd spend most of my life living in Edinburgh - a city that never ceases to give pleasure.
