Boxing-Day Lunch

We seem to be in a mood for entertaining this Christmas. There appears to be little danger of the "old folks" being lonely around here.

For Boxing Day, we invited our good friends Carlos and Pat to join us. He is a former colleague of mine, and a valuable co-worker, and she a former colleague of my wife.

We had pot-roasted pheasant as our main course,

and washed it down with some rather fine Vacqueyras.

look suitably mellow after our nice lunch. We ended with a tasting of some spectacular single malts.
