You Go Girl!!!
I love that look of determination in my daughter's face. She pushes herself pretty hard. And there's not much she can't do when she puts her mind to it. They had a good second half of the game, but the other team won this time.
We went to the movies today. The younger daughter had a birthday party that took the whole class to see Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs. It was the most out of control party we have ever been to. The sweet mom, who doesn't speak very good English, really had know idea how many kids (30??) she was responsible for or what their names were. They ran amok all over a public outdoor eating area. After pizza, she lead them into the wrong theater in the middle of another movie! We had to collect them in the dark, not knowing if we had them all. Get them to the right theater. Then she gave them all soda & popcorn. She left all the gifts, camera, food, cake outside. I'm not sure where the husband disappeared to. After the movie (I'd give it 2 thumbs up...several funny moments, parts of it a little bizarre even for animation), we herded them upstairs to the bathrooms. Couldn't tell if we got them all up or out or down....then outside for CAKE! Gigantic pieces of cake. More running all over. Then when she was starting to get out the ice cream cones...and ice cream that's been sitting out?....we decided Mommy had had enough chaos and we went home. Older daughter had a tummy ache from the junior mints and the popcorn.
Fortunately, the boy went on a playdate with his bestest friend. At least it was a tad calmer than it could have been.
