Guns!

Wanted this photograph since my little sister arrived - her handling an infamous AR-15. Note the magazine removed though.

Didn't get to shoot it though - but did get to shoot my brother in laws Mauser 8mm Makim. I don't really get these old rifles (much to his annoyance) and I could see it irked him somewhat when we drooled over the AR15. So I suggested that he show us why his Makim was his favourite - which he duly did.

Brilliant fun! Not sure what to expect, didn't get half the kick I was expecting and wasn't too loud for a single shot (ears were ringing). However, the bullet is 4 times the size of the AR's standard round, and punched a hole through a 16" wide tree stump! --- AND continued out the other side!
