Vang Vieng

Arrived in Vang Vieng after another scenic but windy mini van journey! We weren't sure what to expect coming here with it having a reputation for being a big party place. So far it seems very chilled out and the scenery is lovely.

Just had a chilled out afternoon wandering about. It seems strange that it's Eve's Eve, one of my favourite days of the whole year. There are a few Santa hats kicking about here but it just doesn't feel like Christmas at all. I am never going away from home for Christmas again!

Watched the sun set from the balcony of the hotel and saw these hot air balloons in the sky. They would get a lovely view over the river.
