Jacksons Corner

Went to Body Pump and then had an early lunch so that we could venture into town later.

Walked along the river rather than the canal and enjoyed getting a bit of fresh air. We picked up a few bits and pieces in town but still have some Christmas shopping to do via the internet.

Jacksons Corner is a local landmark. The shop, a very old fashioned department store, will be closing on Christmas eve. Like most locals, I really only used it for school uniform regularly. The wool department was great - knowledgeable staff who helped me with my first knitting projects in the 1980s. It will be a shame to see it go, particularly if it is replaced by yet another coffee shop chain.
