A View at Wakehurst Place

These famous gardens are owned by the National Trust and managed by the Royal Botanic Gardens at Kew. It is also the home of the Millenium Seed Bank and the gardens are open pretty well every day except Christmas Day! There is something to be seen at all times of the year and many of the paths are hard surfaced which makes it ideal in winter. Having said that, it was certainly wet in places even on the hard paths!

There are a lot of island beds with plants from all over the world and this view is looking towards the 17th Century Mansion, the ground floor of which is also usually open. It was extremely crowded though and surprisingly easy to take pictures without too many people in them!
