Waving at trains
This bridge will be going soon, although there is some controversy about its replacement. When the boys were very young we'd come up here to wave at the trains whizzing to and from London. The drivers would inevitably toot, scaring the life out of the little ones. Standing above watching the trains beneath is an odd feeling - I have a number of friends who can't do it.
Tanya and I walked over to South Hinksey, through the flood waters, and bumped into Patricia who took us back to her new house up on the hill with wonderful views over the dreaming spires.
