Kirkwall Bay

A nice day here. I cycled along to Scapa pier to see what birds were about and got four Slavonian grebes. I don't think I've had more than two there before. Also long-tailed ducks, black guillemots etc.
At the Peedie Sea there was a female goosander as well as five red-breasted mergansers. The goosander isn't common in Orkney but this female has been around for a while.

The bay looked a bit tropically blue.
