The Glaciers

Today we headed down to Fox Glacier. We stopped at Hokitaka on the way. This was a very nice little town and is the jade capital of NZ so we spent some time wandering around the carvers and jewellery counters admiring. After a lovely,cup of coffee at the clock tower cafe (and a muffin the size of my head), we rolled back to the camper for the next part of the drive. We wound our way to the campsite through some spectacular scenery and quite scary roads and arrived at the campsite. Later in the evening we headed along to Lake Mathieson and took some cool pictures of the mountains reflecting in the lake. Very peaceful little spot.
