I want my Mommy xx

There goes my theory that no daytime sleep would equal Eva sleeping through, she woke twice in the night around 2.30 am and 5.30 am. Each time she settled straight after some milk from Mommy and I did put a fresh nappy on her at 5.30 too, she then slept til around 8.30 this morning, when Mike got her washed and dressed (he put her in the little outfit Aunty Vikki bought her for Christmas) while I had a shower. Eva was mesmerised at me in the shower lol, I kept waving at her through the glass and I could see her little face trying to figure it out. Even though she's had the odd shower herself, she won't have seen someone else in the shower before.

Eva had a long play with her toys after breakfast while Mike went out to wash the cars. I read her books with her too, they're noisy books where you press to make the various sounds as you read the story, such as Dear Zoo, Noisy Farm and Room On the Broom. She sits and listens so intently to the stories and enjoys pressing the buttons too to make the sounds.

She is crawling so much more now, and also sitting herself up from a lying down position. I seem to blink and she's started doing something new or more. She's chattering a lot more too now and we get lots of pointing still and "ha tah, ha tah!" I'll also ask her to clap her hands without clapping mine to show her, I'll say "clap your hands, Eva" and she knows, and starts clapping them awwww.

Eva had nearly 2 hours sleep this afternoon, but still seemed shattered when I got her up and was very clingy with me and moany for the rest of the afternoon. My dad came round for an hour and then my sister came round with Lorna, but Eva just cried for me. She's got a 2 hour settling in session at nursery tomorrow, so I really hope she will be happier, but if this afternoon is anything to go by, I'm not sure she will be and we're running out of time until she starts there properly. She was absolutely shattered come bedtime and her cheeks were slightly pink, so maybe I can put her clinginess for me down to feeling tired and teething.

I've been getting her things ready for starting nursery... Putting her name on her nappy cream and box of calpol sachets and I embroidered her name into her pink blanket for sleep time and tried to embroider it into the back of Iggle Piggle, but I got so far and I couldn't get the needle through the change in material to finish the 'A' of Eva, so had to unpick it and turn the V into an N and just do her initials instead, EN. I even broke the embroidery needle trying to push it through, and spent ages then trying to thread embroidery thread through a normal needle. I got there in the end, but I will probably decide to unpick the EN and start again.

Mike gave Eva her bath and then I went up to give her her milk and settle her down. She snuggled into my shoulder as I carried her through to her cot and just went straight to sleep before her head even hit the mattress, she was absolutely shattered xxxx
