Departure Day

Our final family portrait of 2013 and the foreseeable future. Our two older kids, our son and his wife, left this afternoon for their home in Seattle. Our daughter gets to stay another couple of weeks, the privileges of being a college student. It was great having them together over Christmas, but we know they are excited to get back to their life in the big city (even though it is chilly at the moment). We most likely won't get to see them again until we make the trek north this coming summer, so this shot outside the airport is bittersweet. We are already missing them, fortunately we have our daughter to fill the gap for a least two weeks.
