Lights At La Cancha

Sunday evening, a time for locals and visitors to congregate at what passes for our Zocalo, the basketball court (la cancha) on the beach downtown. There is almost always some form of entertainment, plenty of food options, and lots of people. This being the holiday season, the central tree next to the bandstand is festooned with lighted decorations. I have shot this subject on other occasions, but figured this might be the last visit this season with all lights still working and therefore decided it deserved a feature entry. I captured a variety of views, some with people and some without. This particular image stood out as the best, showing the most concentrated arrangement of different lights and decorations. Maybe the city will keep it going during the tourist season, but if not I have a photographic reminder.
