River Surfing

When it was time for the walkers to meet at 9 a.m. it was hosing down with rain, so today's walk was postponed. It rained until lunch time, then cleared to reveal lovely blue skies. I went to the Hawea River White Water Kayak course, and there were lots of young people testing their skill against the river. Usually there are kayakers out but these guys were river surfing. I stayed and watched for about an hour, a wonderful spectator sport.
