Postcard from Guildford

Wow. How much can it rain in one place?? I am totally not used to this! Loving being in our compact warm Lodge which has kept well. Waited for the rain to stop* before venturing out to Guildford in custard coloured vehicle which has done nothing to make G take to it. Guildford seemed to be the destination of choice today. Can't remember it ever taking me so long to get to the shops.

Just had a wander round. Christian bookshop closed over Christmas week!!! The High Street was very busy. It was GREAT to see the sun lighting up the place beautifully. Enjoyed going through the House of Fraser and M&S before heading home in twilight. Loving the days getting longer already. Hope yours' has been just as good! :)

* G unwrapped her Christmas presents while we waited for the rain to stop and have been given a Nespresso coffee machine by friend Eileen to mark various landmarks over the last few months! It was christened right away. Needless to say - we are thrilled.

PS. Don't miss the silver shoes in M&S. Couldn't resist taking a picture! And NO I don't like them before you wonder about me. Just never seen anything like them before!! :)
