Branston Water Park

Solace cruise day 3.

The shot shows Solace moored just below Tattenhill Lock beside Branston Water Park. This is a favourite mooring of our's being, right next to one of the little meres of the water park. Lots of wildlife, quiet and a nice big mown towpath. A perfect spot to tie up and have a picnic on the bank. Chippy is just at the side of the shot on one of the chairs beside our picnic table.

The other interesting part of the day was before lunch when we came down the Alrewas section of the River Trent. Much smaller than the parts of the Trent we would visit later in the holiday, interesting nevertheless.
