New year loaf ...

Always start the new year with a fresh loaf in the house! Bit of a tradition in Germany as is giving your neighbours a loaf of bread on New Year's Eve to wish them a prosperous new year.

Of course this turns into 'who bakes the best loaf' and they all try and out do each other.

These are my mum's efforts ... A apricot, prune and nut loaf!!
