Let's hope that the rest of 2014 is as peaceful as this view.

It is such a beautiful day for the start of the New Year - calm seas, a beautiful cool breeze and not too hot, just perfect. We took a drive into the beaches this morning ands they are all packed, actually the whole town is packed with tourists and holiday makers which is good to see and they add a bit of a vibe to the place. All the motels, holiday apartments and cafes etc are brimming over so it will be a good start to the year for all the local businesses. The usual Wednesday Farmer's Market overlooking Turners Beach was in full swing which was a bonus - I bought some Date and Lemon Slice, Passionfruit Shortbread Biscuits and a jar of homemade Rosella Jam (my favourite) so I'm happy and off to make a cup of tea and taste the goodies.
