Finally we get to the point - these days I'd do this in one strip and leave it at that. I'm being too hard on it, and I guess I love it a bit for the naivete it shows. Originally I'd thought about having Tad just straight up gay bashed, but shied away from it - there had been a bashing murder in the Castro that week and I didn't want to try to make jokes about somebody being beaten up.
