The morning after the night before!

HAPPY NEW YEAR BLIPMATES!!

We had a lovely time at home last night, it was great spending time with the family.

It seems this was most peoples idea for NYE; the majority of my Facebook friends had house parties too.

The party was a bit of a housewarming too; a chance for Mr A to give his folks a tour of the house (though they have been before) now all the work has been done. Rightly so, everyone was massively impressed with the panic room; Steve has put one on his wish list now ;-)

We had a fab meal from our local Chinese, followed by drinks and party games. More nibbles and drinks later on, before heading up to our decked area to watch the fireworks at midnight.
Laura & Steve brought a bottle of champagne so it was lovely to toast one another and the new year in the fresh air.
As the garden is elevated, the decking gives a great view of most of Accrington, so we got a free display from the comfort of home.

I expected more carnage when I got up this morning, but our guests did a great job of tidying up before they left! All we had to do was the recycling and wash a few glasses.

Today has been declared a pj day; we are doing nothing except watching movies! I'm working tomorrow so that sounds like a good idea to me :-)
