Canapés & Japes
Last night was great fun; we ate, we drank and at midnight we enjoyed everyone else's fireworks from the comfort of our garden!
This morning I left Mr A in bed; I was wide awake so decided to get up and put all the Christmas stuff away.
By the time he got up, all that was left was for him to help me into the loft with the various boxes.
We had breakfast watching the squirrels have theirs and learned (via Google) that peanuts aren't actually good for them as they have very little nutritional value.
So with the help of a leftover cupcake box, we made a little platter of squirrel friendly canapés, with the plan to see what they eat the most of for future reference.
(I'll keep you posted)
The platter contains: cashew nuts, jumbo raisins, cucumber, grapes and a suet/mealworm mix.
This afternoon we visited my Dad and Stepmum and stayed for tea. My nephew Michael was also there so we had a good laugh and some great food.
My Dad was in great spirits (maybe a few too many spirits!) and got the giggles, which made us all laugh too.
I'm back to work in the morning; my two weeks off has flown by!
Hopefully it won't be too bad in the morning then I get the weekend with Mr A before we are both back to work properly next week.
I hope you all had a wonderful New Years Eve :-)
