New Year

A very bad night with my Eustachian tubes and virtually no sleep. Still struggling to hear or breathe, sneezing and feeling rather feverish. The weather is very wet and wild again and we had another power cut this morning (though only an hour this time).

But it's not all bad! It's a Bank Holiday and I don't have to go anywhere (although the dogs would probably appreciate a walk to be honest), I'm curled up on the sofa with Basil and Polly, I have the remote control to myself, a box of Quality Street, a cup of tea made by Son1* and tonight at 9 pm Sherlock is back (unless there's another power cut......)!
