Plein Air Painters

We drove to the coast this morning for breakfast at Crystal Cove.

The August and September sunbathers have been replaced by Plein Air "in the open air" painters. Mr. Fun is especially fond of the Plein Air style so he was excited. He spent time talking to several of them. They were taking a class and they were from all around various parts of the south land. One gal was from La Canada (a little north of Pasadena).

Pictured here are three female painters and their male instructor (in the plaid shirt). Mr. Fun was quite jealous . . . he thought that being a teacher right out there on the sand would be fabulous.

I bet if you look at it in larger form, you'll see the canvas of each painter a little better (I don't know how to link the larger one, but tapping the magnifying glass should cause the enlarging).

It was a wonderful autumn morning at the ocean -- a little chilly and lots of sun. We love the ocean.
