Completing the walk started last year

I managed to get up and out earlier today and decided to do a bird count quick before the rain. I managed a third of the distance before the rain hit my face.

Yesterday's short walk with Dad is part of the chosen route but in reverse.

One bird suspected yesterday was the Dipper - a possible a partial call was heard. Today I saw not just one but a pair of Dippers and once again heard a short but tuneful call.

The photo was taken at the halfway point at Mossy Lea farm one of my favourite areas for low level and access to higher level walks.

There were some Redwing at the farm and I managed to observe 20 species in total but very few birds from this point on as I walked into the wind and rain.
